The UCF College of Business Administration (#UCFBusiness) will host its monthly Dean’s Speaker Series on Friday, April 24th, 2015, from 7:30 a.m.- 9:00 a.m. Vladimir Gatchev, Ph.D., SunTrust Associate Professor of Finance, will speak on “The Impact of Reputation on Financial Institutions”.

The presentation will offer solutions to challenges that financial institutions face on a regular basis. Attendees will leave with answers to questions such as:

  • How do firms and underwriters choose each other?
  • What criteria do issuing firms use when looking for an underwriter?
  • What criteria do investment banks use when looking for firms to underwrite?
  • Gatchev received his Ph.D. in Finance at Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business. His teaching involves discussions of financial models, econometrics, financial management, investments, options and forecasting. He has been published in the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Corporate Finance and Journal of Financial Markets.
