Thinking of Grad School? Get Some Answers at Grad Fair

Thinking about getting a master’s degree or a doctoral degree? Come to UCF’s annual Grad Fair from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12 in the Pegasus Ballroom at the Student Union.

All colleges will be represented and you can chat one-on-one with representatives and get additional information. Choosing to pursue a graduate education is one of the biggest decisions an individual will make. It’s an investment both in terms of time and money. For some professions, getting a graduate degree is necessary. Even when it is not required, it can set a candidate apart.

There’s also monetary reasons to pursue a master’s or doctoral degree. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 7.4 percent of the population ages 18 and older hold a master’s degree while 1.5 percent have earned a doctorate. Those with advanced degrees earn about $17,000 more than those with a bachelor’s degree on average according to the most recent Census reports available.

Regardless of the reason you choose a graduate education, the first step is being informed about your options. Grad Fair offers an open house-style event that is free and open to anyone interested in a doctoral, master’s, specialist or certificate program at UCF.

While not required, pre-registration for the Grad Fair is recommended.
