Students Talk Openly About Race and the Role of Police Officers

The Division of Student Development and Enrollment Services will host a panel discussion titled, “Campus Conversation: How to have difficult discussions about community policing and race.” This is an opportunity for students, faculty and staff to share ideas and thoughts about community policing and race in an effort to bring awareness and unity.

WHAT: Campus Conversations: How to Have Difficult Discussions about Community Policing and Race

WHERE: UCF Recreation and Wellness Center, Multi-purpose Room – 245

WHEN: Mon., Sept. 26, at 7 p.m.

The event is sponsored by SDES (Recreation and Wellness Center and Multicultural Student Center) and the UCF Police department. The panel discussion will feature students; campus police officers; Edwanna Andrews, director for Social Justice and Advocacy; and Jim Wilkening, executive director for RWC.
