Forbes Lists UCF as a Top 50 College Buy

The University of Central Florida is one of the top 50 most-affordable colleges and universities in the nation, according to an article published in Forbes this week.

Coming in at 42 on the list, UCF was noted for its prestigious designation as a high-research university, among other data showing how it combines affordability with a quality education.

Forbes’ list aims to help families and prospective students learn about universities and colleges where they can get the most bang for their buck. To produce the ranking, Forbes examined factors such as debt load, graduation rates, student achievement and average price of tuition and fees.

Also this year UCF was named one of the nation’s “best value” colleges and universities by The Princeton Review [1]and Kiplinger magazine [2]. UCF ranked 33rd on the Kiplinger list, which includes colleges that combine excellent economic value with an outstanding education.

Overall, Florida’s public universities rank among the most economical in the country, placing 48th in the country for tuition and fees. The average cost in Florida is $4,382, which is $2,638 below the national average.
