UCF Victim Services Hosts Award-Winning Play

The University of Central Florida will host an award-winning play in support of the movement to end violence against women and girls.

The Vagina Monologues, performed and staged entirely by UCF students, will be held  Saturday, March 25.

Doors to the Pegasus Ballroom will open at 6:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 7 p.m. Free parking is available in Garage F.

The Vagina Monologues, which has been performed at UCF for over a decade, will include 14 female performers.

The play, originally written by Eve Ensler, is performed in cities across the world and on hundreds of college campuses. The play inspired V-Day, a grassroots movement that includes events such as One Billion Rising and raises awareness of violence against women and girls on a global level.

The play is free to attend but donations will be accepted to benefit UCF Victim Services, Kids House and VDAY 2017.

Any member of the UCF community who has been impacted by violence or abuse is encouraged to call Victim Service’s 24-hour confidential hotline at 407-823-1200.
