Tiffany Maher is more than just a University of Central Florida sophomore—she’s a dancer, and she hopes to prove it on this season of the FOX reality competition show So You Think You Can Dance.

Maher specializes in jazz, and she recently moved into the show’s top 20. As part of the top dancers, she will compete weekly, working with different choreographers and performing a variety of dance styles.

So You Think You Can Dance airs on FOX Wednesdays at 8 p.m.

Maher began dancing at age 3 at a studio in Plantation, Fla. She started teaching dance classes when she turned 15, and since then, she has danced in movies such as “Step Up Revolution” and “Rock of Ages.”

She graduated from South Plantation High School in 2011 and is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She is majoring in interdisciplinary studies with a focus on public affairs.
