The University Club of Orlando provides an endowed scholarship for LEAD Scholars Academy academic program students who have established a strong foundation of leadership, service and academics.

This year, three UCF students were awarded a $5,600 scholarship to assist with their tuition costs. Rachel Largmann spoke on behalf of the university at the annual scholarship dinner held at the University Club of Orlando downtown building this fall.

Each LEAD Scholar received: $2,800 for the freshman year and $2,800 for the sophomore year. The recipients are:

  • Elaine Gerlt, Health Sciences major, graduated from Circle Christian School.
  • Getasha Doobay, Biomedical Sciences major, graduated from Oak Ridge High School.
  • Rachael Largmann, Biomedical Sciences major, graduated from Seminole High School.
  •  The University Club of Orlando’s goal is to give future generations the power to open doors and to provide opportunities that lead to success and, by doing so, continue growing the educational focus that is at the heart of The University Club Foundation.
