UCF Cares Day took place on March 4during Safe Knight Week in the Ferrell Commons Courtyard. The event educated students about UCF Cares, an umbrella of care-related programs and resources dedicated to fostering a caring community of Knights. UCF Cares focus areas include: safety and wellbeing, respect, sexual violence, and mental health.

Information was also offered by other campus resources such as: Victim Services; Counseling and Psychological Services; Student Health Services; Recreation and Wellness Center; Wellness and Health Promotion Services; Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities; Knights Helping Knights Pantry; Pride Commons; Student Disability Services; and Student Legal Services.

Students received a resource passport at the beginning of their journey among resource tables and had the chance to win prizes including a Costco membership, $50 Publix gift card, and certificates from Chipotle and 4Rivers. Over 230 students participated in the event.

The UCF Cares Day allowed students to see where these offices were located and tour some programs. UCF Cares Day helped students learn more about resources and services on campus and identify ways that they can help build a culture of care at UCF.
