Students in instructor A’Rion Raymond’s Event Management II class at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management recently assisted with a professional networking and education event.

The International Association of Exposition and Events (IAEE) hosted their Annual Southeastern Classic July 21, at Rosen Shingle Creek, and Rosen College was proud to be involved.

Raymond’s students coordinated and executed the event’s opening reception, which included writing a welcome speech, presenting the college’s history and playing Rosen marketing videos on loop.  The class also promoted special pricing for Rosen students to attend the event.  Twenty lucky students took advantage of the $25 ticket deal that included access to all sessions and meals.  Non-members paid as much as $295 just to get into the event, so this was a remarkable opportunity.

Raymond and select students were featured on a segment for Convention News Television (CNTV).

The International Association of Exposition and Events (IAEE) is comprised of over 3,500 event planners and producers.  The organization promotes the unique value of exhibitions and provides continuing education and professional growth to its members.
