In November, student residents of the Rosen College Apartments demonstrated hospitality through giving. As part of an event called Thanks for Giving, students were invited to bring a canned food item in exchange for a Thanksgiving-style dinner in the Apartments’ Community Center.

Over 100 residents donated more than 150 food items for the UCF Knights Helping Knights food pantry. The pantry offers students a variety of non-perishable food items, second hand clothing, shoes, toiletries and more.

Area Coordinator for the Rosen College Apartments, Amanda Gaglio, shared, “Some residents brought in dessert items and one resident brought in two turkeys that he’d prepared on his own.”

The first floor of apartment building 904 donated the most items, and as a prize, residents on that floor will select next semester’s event.
