Police Department to host 'Guns 'N Hoses' Blood Drive

The UCF Police Department will host the annual “Guns ‘N Hoses” blood drive from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20.

“Guns ‘N Hoses” is a challenge between Central Florida’s police and sheriff’s departments and fire departments. Blood donors have the opportunity to register their vote for police and sheriff’s departments (“Guns”) or fire departments (“Hoses”). Donors also will receive a free commemorative T-shirt and a free movie ticket.

Every blood donation is important and has a profound impact on someone’s life. In most cases, donated blood is transfused into a patient within 48 to 72 hours.

The campus community and the public are invited to donate at the Big Red Bus outside the UCF Police Department on Libra Drive. For more information or to make an appointment, call 1-888-9-DONATE.
