Players Sought for Testing FIEA Video Games

Are you itching to try some new video game action before the rest of the world?

The three newest games being developed by students from UCF’s Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy will be set up Tuesday, June 24, in the main campus Student Union for players to check out.

Players can also meet the developers and help shape the games with feedback, said Todd Deery, FIEA communication and admission director.

The games to be tested are:

  • Hit, a competitive 3-D game that deals in betrayal among friends and suspicion at all times.
  • Focal Length, a first-person game that drops the player in the middle of an alien invasion with only a camera to capture images for live TV.
  • Neon Night Riders, which fires players at light-speed into a race for control over the fiber-optic streets of cyberpunk Tokyo.
  • The games will be available 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Student Union’s Cape Florida Room 316.

Students also will be in front of the Student Union to recruit players Tuesday.
