How does light carry information in a fiber optic cable? How does a smartphone display work? What are lasers capable of?

To find out the answers to these and other technological feats that benefit us every day, check out Optics Day on Friday, April 4, at CREOL (The College of Optics and Photonics).

The interactive experience will feature lab tours, optic demonstrations, presentations, pizza and prizes at one of the world’s leading institutions for research and education in optics and photonics.

Middle and high school students are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the public is invited from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
