Harry Paarsch, Ph.D., has been at the forefront of the evolution of business analytics and most recently served as an economist for Amazon, prior to joining the faculty at the UCF College of Business (#UCFBusiness). On September 25th, 2015 at 7:30 a.m., Paarsch will kick off the new season for the #UCFBusiness Dean’s Speaker Series, speaking to local business and community leaders at the Citrus Club in Downtown Orlando. Paarsch is the professor of business analytics at the UCF College of Business Administration’s Department of Economics. From 2011 to 2014, he worked as an economist for Amazon. He has published journal articles in both applied and theoretical econometrics as well as computational economics, empirical finance, industrial organization, labor economics and personnel economics. His program, “The Incomplete Information Revolution,” will outline some key insights into the science and application of empirical methods and the proper use of data in business decision-making.
