UCF’s most anticipated holiday event, Light Up UCF, makes its return with brighter lights, cool rides and SNOW!
Light Up UCF is an affordable family event that features ice skating, rides, and holiday attractions, set to begin Friday Nov. 13 and will continue through Sunday, Jan. 3.
At Light Up UCF families can enjoy multiple free activities including the Holiday Light Show, made up of thousands of individual lights that pulse in perfect synchronization all across the arena to favorite holiday songs, while snow is falling and creating a magical effect. Families can also gather together each Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday night to watch one of the many films offered during the Holiday Film Festival on a two-story movie screen.
Positioned directly in front of the CFE Arena is, Light Up UCF’s Ice Rink, an outdoor ice skating rink which has become a favorite over the years. It serves as the centerpiece for the event and guests are also invited to enjoy their favorite holiday tunes spun by a live DJ.
Light Up UCF features rides that are suitable for all ages, ranging from a Ferris wheel, where riders can enjoy a panoramic view of the UCF campus, to the Light Up Express Train great for children of all ages. Visitors can also check out the Arctic Glide Ice Slide, where they can climb to the top of the tower and glide on disc sleds across the 100-foot ice way, and the Blizzard ride, where families can twist and spin themselves. Don’t forget to stop into Santa’s Workshop in the NEW Light Up Lane, where families can share their Christmas wishes and have their photo taken with Santa. A stage will also offer local talent to listen, watch and enjoy.
