The UCF student chapter of the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) was named the top chapter in the southern region of the nation. The faculty advisor for the group is Steven Hornik, a lecturer in the Kenneth G. Dixon School of Accounting. ALPFA is a leading professional development organization that assists UCF students in enhancing their knowledge about opportunities and trends in accounting, finance and other business related fields, while providing opportunities to network with professionals and potential employers. The UCF chapter is very active and invites speakers to their meetings and hosts networking events, leadership seminars and banquets. The chapter is open to all business majors.
