What to Know to Ease Your Commute to Campus

Heavy traffic at UCF is expected the first couple weeks of the semester that begins Aug. 21, so be sure to allot extra time to park and get to your destination.

Here are things new to parking and tips on how to ease your commute this semester.

New to Parking

  • Lot H4-A that’s south of the Fraternity and Sorority Life offices at the intersection of Greek Park Drive and Aquarius Agora Road is being transformed into a 275-space student parking lot. It will be available by the start of the semester.
  • Four electric-car charging stations will be added to campus, bringing the total number of charging stations to 15. Users can fully charge their cars for free. Stations are located in parking garages A and D, and in lots B1, B6 and D1.

Parking Tips

  • Students with valid parking permits can park near the softball field on North Orion Boulevard and pick up a Park and Ride shuttle to campus. Shuttles pick up every 15 minutes and drop students off near the College of Health & Public Affairs next to Memory Mall. Signs will be up around campus to direct cars to the 400-space Park and Ride lot.
  • Areas of campus that usually have parking available are the Libra Garage, top deck of Garage A and Lot B8.
  • Students with valid parking permits can park in non-reserved faculty/staff spots after 5:30 p.m.
  • Order and pick up a parking permit prior to the start of the semester to avoid the rush. Decals can be picked up at the Visitor and Parking Information center or the Parking Services office at Garage D.

Other Parking Resources

  • UCF shuttles pick up at nearby student apartment complexes and drop off passengers at various spots on campus. There are 15 different routes, plus routes from main campus to Lake Nona and the Rosen College of Hospitality Management. Passengers can track the shuttles via GPS.
  • Parking Services personnel are available to assist with flat tires, battery jumps, if keys are locked in a car, if a vehicle runs out of gas and more. Call 407-823-5555 for assistance.
