Garden Good Guys: Butterflies, Birds & Bees will be the UCF Public History Center’s first workshop of the fall semester on Saturday.

The outdoor, family-friendly workshop about the habitats, life cycles and ecosystems of Central Florida pollinators will include a tour of the center’s butterfly garden. The butterfly garden is part of the history center’s demonstration garden that contains vegetables and flowers grown at the turn of the last century, Florida native plants, field crops and other horticultural displays.

The workshop will be 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 301 W. 7th St., Sanford. The cost for the session, which will include the construction of a small “bee bungalow,” is $25 for adults, and $15 for children 3 and older.

Pre-registration is required. Contact the center at 407-936-1679 or publichistorycenter@ucf.edu.
