Game Day: C-USA Championship
The UCF Knights will compete for their second Conference USA football championship in four years when they face the Southern Methodist University Mustangs on Saturday, Dec. 4.
The game will kick off at noon at Bright House Networks Stadium, and it will be televised live on ESPN2.
The campus will open for parking and game day activities at 8 a.m. Saturday. Almost all game day policies and procedures will be the same as for a regular season Saturday afternoon game on campus. Fans are encouraged to review game day polices at www.UCFGameday.com.
Free for Students: UCF students can attend the biggest game of the year for free, and they do not need tickets. Valid student ID cards will be swiped Saturday at all stadium gates. Students also are encouraged to join the Student Government Association’s tailgating activities in IOA Plaza, near gates 1 through 4 at the stadium.
Tickets: Fans can purchase tickets for $30 at www.TicketMaster.com or www.UCFAthletics.com or by calling (407) 823-1000. Tickets also can be picked up in person at the UCF Athletics ticket office at Bright House Networks Stadium, which is open for extended hours this week from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. today through Friday. Fans can also pick up their tickets beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday at the will call tent on IOA Plaza.
Season ticket holders who have already purchased their seats are encouraged to print out their tickets in advance to avoid will call lines on Saturday. Click here for instructions on how to print out your tickets.
Fans also can purchase extra tickets that will be distributed through charities such as the United Way, the Metro Orlando Urban League, Take Stock in Children and the Boys and Girls Club of Downtown Orlando. Click here for more information.
“UCF Knights Day:” Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer will officially proclaim Saturday as “UCF Knights Day” in the City of Orlando. Mayor Dyer is encouraging all Central Florida residents to wear black and gold. In addition, the spire of the Amway Center will light up black and gold on Saturday in support of UCF.
Game Day Fan Help Desk: Fans with questions about game days can call 407-882-FANS (3267) beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday.
Tailgating and Alcohol: For all campus tailgating areas, the open container waiver (alcohol consumption) will go into effect at 8 a.m. and end at noon. The possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited by anyone younger than 21. Anyone consuming alcohol must be prepared to show proof that he or she is 21 or older. Glass containers of any type, kegs and beer funnels are not allowed on campus.
Parking: Parking is divided into three sections — Gold, Red and Blue. The Gold Zone, closest to Bright House Networks Stadium, requires a reserved game day parking permit and is only for members of the Golden Knights Club, credentialed media, stadium operations personnel, patrons with disabilities and students with special permits. Season ticket holders received a parking permit for the C-USA championship game along with the permits for the regular season games.
Almost all parking in the Red Zone and Blue Zone is open to everyone. The spaces are free and on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking is not allowed along campus roadways, in residential housing parking lots or garages, or on any open grassy areas throughout campus.
Vehicles parked without the proper permits in the Gold Zone, vehicles parked without authorization in Garage B (reserved for official university business on game days), and vehicles illegally parked along roadways or other areas on campus are subject to fines and towing beginning at 5 a.m. Saturday.
Several golf carts will be available Saturday to help fans who need assistance get to the stadium area. The carts will drop fans off and pick them up after the game either at Garage D (for further transport by ADA-equipped buses) or near the “Charging Knight” statue located at the front of IOA Plaza at the stadium.
Preferred routes for each of the three parking zones and campus road closures that occur on game days are listed at www.UCFGameday.com.
Fans with Disabilities: Parking for fans with disabilities is available on the first floor of Garage D across from the UCF Arena. Fans with valid handicapped parking permits are allowed to enter the Gold Zone via Libra Drive or Orion Boulevard to access Garage D. While there are other handicapped parking spaces throughout the campus, shuttles to and from the stadium will be available only from Garage D.
Free Student Shuttles: UCF Parking & Transportation Services will operate free shuttles for students to and from several nearby apartment complexes, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. The ending time is later than usual to allow students to attend the UCF men’s basketball game against Southeastern Louisiana at 4 p.m. The on-campus shuttle routes (Black and Gold routes) will not be operating on game days. A student shuttle also will depart the Rosen College of Hospitality Management at 7 and 10 a.m. on game day and will return to the Rosen College at 4 and 7 p.m.
Free Shuttles for Fans: Fans are invited to park at off-site parking lots conveniently located in the Research Park. Free UCF Shuttles will continuously transport passengers from the Orlando Tech Center in the Research Park to the on-campus Health & Public Affairs stop at Lot C1. Game day service will be available from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. The ending time is later than usual to allow students to use the park-and-ride service and attend the UCF men’s basketball game against Southeastern Louisiana at 4 p.m.
Leave Pets at Home: Animals, except for service animals, are not allowed on campus on game days. Anyone who brings an animal that is not a service animal will be asked to take it home. Click here for more information.
UCF Alumni Association Pregame Party: Fans can “chill out and chow down” inside the FAIRWINDS Alumni Center from 9 to 11 a.m. Admission is free for fans with UCF Alumni membership cards and their guests. The first 100 people who bring a new, unwrapped toy to benefit Toys for Tots will receive a UCF Alumni hat. Visit www.ucfalumni.com for more information.
Men’s Basketball Game Advisory: The time of the men’s basketball game against Southeast Louisiana has been moved up to 4 p.m. Fans attending both the football and basketball games are encouraged to remain parked in their football game parking spaces and walk to the Arena. All parking lots and garages will remain open through the end of the basketball game. Fans attending only the basketball game should expect delays entering campus due to football game day traffic. They are encouraged to arrive early and park in Garage D or one of the nearby parking lots.
