Access Your Inner Voice, an open mic night for individuals to express “the diverse aspects of self” will be hosted Oct. 16 by UCF Student Disability Services.

The spoken word/expressive arts event is for students, faculty and staff to participate from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Knight’s Plaza.

“We want our audience to walk away with a better understanding of diverse world views,” said Kimberly Rios, an accessibility consultant in Student Disability Services, sponsor of the event. “This is your chance to express the unseen, the hidden aspects of self in a format which encourages acceptance of self and others.”

Organizers urge the audience to bring a chair, blanket or other seating to the plaza. For details about accommodations or signing up to speak, sing or dance, contact SDSevents@ucf.edu.
