A national historic landmark, the Bok Tower Gardens, has benefited from a research partnership with Rosen College graduate students under the guidance of Dr. Robertico Croes.
The “must-see Florida attraction” is centrally located between Tampa and Orlando in Lake Wales. Edward William Bok, American editor and Pulitzer Prize-winning author, created the gardens and singing tower in the 1920s.
Dr. Croes and his students donated their time and efforts to assist the Bok Tower Gardens in developing strategies to raise awareness and increase visitation. The management team from Bok Tower Gardens visited the Rosen Campus and attended the Foundations in Hospitality and Tourism Research class for a presentation prepared by Dr. Croes and his students.
“The class identified relevant variables and trends that influence the business and proposed strategic and tactical planning to Bok Tower Gardens,” said Ph.D. candidate “Jenna” Seung Hyun Lee.
Bok Tower Gardens is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, sponsored in part by the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs, the Florida Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
