Abdul Kalam, who served as the 11^th president of India from 2002 to 2007, will speak Thursday, Oct. 22, at the University of Central Florida.

Kalam will give a presentation entitled “World Space Vision 2050″ at 4:15 p.m. in the Pegasus Ballroom of the Student Union. The event is free and open to the public.

During his term in office, Kalam was often referred to as the “People’s President.” He is the only surviving former president of India.
