Chanda Torres, assistant vice president for Student Development and Enrollment Services, was appointed to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Institutional Partners Network Advisory Group. The group is comprised of ten members with extensive experience related to postsecondary student success. The inaugural meeting was held in Seattle on March 8-10.

Torres has worked in the education field for over 15 years. She has served in a variety of positions in student and academic affairs in a community college and university setting. These positions have provided her with a variety of experience in the areas of academic advising, new student orientation, first year experience, financial literacy, assessment, learning support programs, college transition programs, student engagement, career services, and sophomore and second year services.
