Three UCF water polo players have been named first-team selections of the 2013 Women’s National Collegiate Club All-America Team.
Lauren Sheetz, Alison Mantel and goalie Taylor Reeves of the UCF Women’s Water Polo team were named All-Americans along with national player of the year Meghan Reese of the University of California-Davis. In all, the Collegiate Water Polo Association named three teams of seven players and 33 honorable mentions.
Comprised of student-athletes from 36 institutions, the National Collegiate Club All-America team is voted on by representatives from each of the club programs in the association, which is based in Bridgeport, Pa.
Other first-team selections were Casey Clark of California Polytechnic State University, Lisa Gibson of Portland State University, and Rachel Edwards of Texas A&M University.
